The parish council set its budget on 12th January for the year ending 31st March 2017. The precept was set at £5,939, which works out as an average of £34.53 per band D house for the year, or £2.88 per month.
The parish council precept is collected by Broadland District Council as part of your council tax bill.
The parish council precept pays for the clerk’s salary (3 hours per week), administration costs, small donations to local charities, donations towards the grasscutting at Beighton and Moulton churchyards, and the rent of the playing field at the village hall. The parish council is also putting money into reserves for a village sign for each village.
