• Postwich Park & Ride – Still Open!

Postwick park and ride is still open!

The trial opening of Postwick park and ride (originally due to end this month) has been extended.

The site will now remain open until the wider review and re-tendering of the whole park and ride service which we expect to start in summer 2024.

The Postwick services stops at Norwich Rail Station on Thorpe Road and Castle Meadow on all journey into the city centre with buses running every 20 minutes from 7:20am.

Tickets cost just £3.00 for an Adult for all day travel (much cheaper than the city car parks!). Concessions are £2.00 ( with a concessionary bus pass) and children under 5 travel for FREE.

All additional passengers pay only £1 when they travel with another full paying person on any Norwich park & ride so great when travelling as a group.

Unfortunately passenger number across all park & ride services do remain low, with Postwick having the lowest use of all the sites. In these difficult financial times we need to see passenger numbers increase across all of our sites to help keep Norwich park and ride sustainable and running for the future. So next time you’re heading into Norwich why not consider using the park & ride.

Residents are reminded that any complaints about traffic speeds of sugar beet lorries or sugar tankers should be reported as soon as possible to British Sugar on 01493 700351.

Please give details of the haulage company, make of lorry, colour and/or registration number of the vehicle concerned as the Factory can match up details with the times that vehicles arrive at or leave the weighbridge.
